Today's Project...
Thank you to all veterans for giving me the freedom to be home tonight, snug and warm in my studio, painting whatever I please. Your sacrifices and those of your loved ones are forever appreciated by me. God Bless you all.
Christine
Welcome to a place to see what's on my easel, the walls I am decorating and the illustration projects that are on my drawing table. It's like hanging out in my studio without getting paint on you. Thank you for stopping by and please come again!

Amusement Park Commission Step by Step
Step by Step - The Amusement Park Commission
This painting was completed last month for a client and was also licensed to be a jigsaw puzzle. I have included the steps taken to complete a pretty detailed 3 x 5 foot painting. Can you tell how much I miss Rocky Point? The client's only request way to have her grandkids holding hands looking at a ferris wheel and the girl to be wearing a pink sun hat. So many happy memories at amusement parks...I hope you make some this summer too!

Parrot Fish Drawing
Today's Project...
Parrot Fish Drawing on Ground Glass
I am lucky enough to participate in an artist Print Portfolio project at the Providence Art Club and I needed to prepare my drawing for the first print studio session tomorrow. I wanted an image with personality, and I found it over coffee with a close friend at a cafe that had a huge aquarium. You never know when creativity will strike! Tomorrow I will make a solar plate from this image and then begin the tedious process of mixing a custom color ink. Once I finish the color mixing, it is off to produce 47 prints, which may take the better part of the summer, a few at a time.
My instructor and the coordinator of the portfolio project is Carol Fitz Simmonds, an amazing artist. Check out her website to learn more about artist prints from one of the best printmakers in RI.

Today's Project...
Grasshopper
On an insect kick this week, so this photo I took last summer was perfect. If you never noticed before, grasshoppers have the cutest orange-red feet. My neighbors must this I am crazy, as I spent most of the time in my yard in unflattering positions, impersonating a National Geographic photographer...anyways, enjoy this gorgeous weather!

Experiments and Loose Ends
Today's Project...
Spring fever has hit me hard and I decided to try some loose, fun projects. I also did a bit of spring cleaning in the studio and came across the landscape which need a couple more hours of tweaking before it could be framed. Enjoy!
