Welcome to a place to see what's on my easel, the walls I am decorating and the illustration projects that are on my drawing table. It's like hanging out in my studio without getting paint on you. Thank you for stopping by and please come again!

Pumpkin Guitar Body
Hand painted guitar bodies are some of the more enjoyable projects I get to experience. Highly personal, this client is building the guitar for his girlfriend, nicknamed "Pumpkin" (awww.) Her initial was created on the back with a curly vine and the leaf on the front was positioned to "Rock On!"

Faux Bois Master Suite
Faux Bois is the artistic imitation of wood and woodgrain. In this master suite, the new construction was made with several different woods, including oak, poplar and pre-primed windows. The clients had purchased distressed and gold leaf embellished furniture which I was requested to match. All doors, windows, molding, grates, coffers and cabinetry was finished with a 5 step treatment which included applying gold leaf and antiquing it. The project took about 3.5 weeks to complete. A very labor intensive project, but the results were stunning.

Giving Jesus a Hand
A perfect Mother's Day project...
These are the before and after pictures of the Madonna Della Difesa statue that has been handed down in my family since the early 20th century. My mother recently inherited it and asked a couple of months back if I could try to fix it. With Mother's Day approaching I thought it was the right time to undertake the tricky prosthetic for the baby Jesus. Crafted from "Sculpey" and then baked, it took two tries to get it right. The Madonna received a deep cleaning facial, manicure, a little bling with new gold leaf and refurbishing of her crackled paint gown. A pretty appropriate Mother's Day gift for her! I think I made my own mom very happy yesterday, as the hug seemed to last forever.

They are sold as a four pack with two puzzles from another artist, which are just as colorful. I am attaching a link to Masterpieces' online store. Happy Spring!!!

Celtic Swags
A nice way to finish the month...
Designed to fill the space over a flat screen television, with a coordinating swag for over the sliding door, colors from the room were incorporated, as well as the client's monogram. This project was completed in one day.
