Welcome to a place to see what's on my easel, the walls I am decorating and the illustration projects that are on my drawing table. It's like hanging out in my studio without getting paint on you. Thank you for stopping by and please come again!

Just in time for Mother's Day
I just received copies of my Koi Pond Garden and Tropical Bird puzzles from Masterpieces Puzzle Company. They are really well made and make the perfect mother's day gift or summertime activity with your family. They are sold as a four pack with two puzzles from another artist, which are just as colorful. I am attaching a link to Masterpieces' online store. Happy Spring!!!

Celtic Swags
A nice way to finish the month...
Designed to fill the space over a flat screen television, with a coordinating swag for over the sliding door, colors from the room were incorporated, as well as the client's monogram. This project was completed in one day.

Barrington Bookstore Toy Section Mural
Finally complete!
For the new expansion of their toy section, Barrington Books needed "wow" factor for the space. Given only the direction of a twilight scene that engaged kids 8-15, I created "islands" of colorful images, with a leaning towards nature, science and adventure.
Here are the stats: one full day of design, eight days of on-site mural painting, a day and a half to create the compass table and another day to paint and install the clouds and archway.
Barrington Books will be having a grand opening celebration on Saturday, March 24th, from 11:30-3:30 with live entertainment, book signings and storytelling. Check out their website for more details, including a Lego contest!

Coastal Village on Tile
Installed in the same kitchen where I painted the sink front, this tile mural includes the owners' dog at the cafe and family names on the shop signs. The hydrangeas tied in the colors of the kitchen island and walls. The tiles were painted in my studio and then installed and grouted by the contractor.

Crucifix Restoration
Today's Project...
Occasionally I am asked to repair or touch up religious statues. In this case, the hands were broken off multiple times. Old glue staining, and prior repainting, had ruined the original surface. I rebuilt the hands with wood putty epoxy, which can be sculpted and sanded, and then painted and antiqued the whole statue. The wood cross was cleaned and revarnished. There is not a lot of money in this kind of work, but it is a nice break from my regular assignments.

Painted Sink Front
Today's Project...
With an existing color palette of a beautifully designed kitchen by the bay, this project was a joy to complete. It took two days to paint and will have three coats of air dry clear enamel to protect the surface.
